Where is the work:

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What you will do:

  • Participates as team member of a project development team for the development of energy saving construction projects.
  • Perform building surveys and audits to identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) for architectural, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
  • Analyze and document existing building operation.
  • Complete utility analysis by quantifying and benchmarking a building's energy use.
  • Review and understand utility rate tariffs.
  • Quantify the energy savings for each ECM via a building simulation / energy model or by utilizing spreadsheet calculations.
  • Work with local utility companies to secure rebates and incentives for our customers.
  • Oversee the measurement and verification of the project's ECMs.
  • Review building automation control systems to validate system performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Provide key technical support in pursuit of Trane business, including participation on strategic job acquisition teams.
  • Assist and support all efforts of acquisition and customer satisfaction.
  • Some travel required.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology discipline.Entry level, degreed candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, Building Automation (BAS) systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
  • Experience in effectively understanding and manipulation of technical information and responding to questions from fellow engineers.
  • Experience collecting data, analyzing and presenting data in a clear and accurate manor.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and office equipment required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
    • DUI in the previous 5 years
    • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
