Radiation Therapist Opportunity

Join a fast-paced team at an area hospital in Supply, NC where your expertise as a Radiation Therapist will directly impact lives. From delivering targeted treatments to collaborating with oncology professionals, you will play a vital role in helping patients fight cancer with skill and compassion. This opportunity accepts first-time travelers and local clinicians with a minimum of two years of experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.

• ARRT-T certification in Radiation Therapy.

• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required by North Carolina.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.

• Skills and equipment experience required: CT simulation, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, PET scan, MRI familiarity, tumor localization, external beam therapy, IMRT, beam modifying/positioning, block cutting, wedges, dose calculation, simulation of treatment sites.

• Experience with treatment planning and oncology systems: Pinnacle (Philips), Eclipse (Varian), ARIA, Varian 21 ex/ix.

• Experience with custom molds/shields and lift/transfer devices.

• Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response/code teams.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Assignment Details
  • Shift Hours: 08:00 - 17:30.
  • Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour shifts.
  • Patient ratio: 1:5.
  • Clinic accepts 13-week assignments only.
  • Traveler will start directly in the clinic; no dimensions or orientation required.

Impacting Patient Care

As a Radiation Therapist in this hospital clinic you will operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, accurately position and immobilize patients, verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and document treatments to maintain accurate patient records. You will collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective treatment plans.
