Job description

Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Facility: Providence Saint John’s Health Center
Location: 2121 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90404
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 (5x8) 
Pay Rate: $77/hr (W2) | $82/hr (1099) 

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer accurate radiation treatment to oncology patients.
  • Operate Varian linear accelerator machines with precision.
  • Calculate and verify prescribed radiation doses.
  • Conduct tumor localization and utilize imaging systems (CBCT/kV/mV).
  • Create and manage custom molds and shields for individualized patient care.
  • Follow all radiation safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Document all treatments using Epic and treatment planning systems (Pinnacle, Eclipse).
  • Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
  • ARRT (T) certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiation Therapy).
  • Proficient in EPIC charting system.
  • Experience with Varian machines, IMRT, and external beam therapy.
  • Experience with treatment planning systems: Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian).
