ECE Paraeducator - 4 hrs/day (Pacific Infant and Toddler Center/PC#254287)
Position Summary:
Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

Salary: $19.61 - $25.94 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.
Location: Pacific Infant and Toddler Center
Hours: 4 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience:
The position requires a High School diploma and 6 college units of Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to pre-school age children. Requires successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment. One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
May require a valid driver's license. CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement.
Documents (all of the following documents are required for this position):
  • Copy of Transcript (Transcripts Showing 6 ECE Units)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Requires a valid First-Aid card and CPR certificate)
  • Proof of HS Graduation - High School Diploma or High School Transcripts or equivalent (ex: GED)
  • NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
  • Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
