Job Summary

Moultrie is seeking a Director of Sourcing & Supplier Management to lead our full supplier ecosystem — spanning direct commodity sourcing, category management, contract manufacturing relationships across twelve CMs in six countries, supplier quality systems, and indirect procurement. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this leader carries the supply-side view into all major planning decisions and manages a direct team of six to eight.

Job Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy & Commodity Management
  • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies across all electronics commodity segments on Moultrie's BOM — memory, sensors, cellular modules, displays, and batteries.
  • Monitor commodity markets and translate supply/demand signals into actionable procurement positions; own the BOM cost-reduction roadmap.
  • Lead should-cost modeling and dual-source qualification programs; manage component lifecycle and EOL transitions.
Contract Manufacturing
  • Own Moultrie's commercial and strategic relationships with all contract manufacturers across the US, Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan, China, and Cambodia.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and annual strategic tier reviews; manage CM capacity planning, performance scorecards, and escalation frameworks.
  • Oversee Asia-based regional contractor and define scope for conversion to a dedicated FTE.
Contracts, Risk & Compliance
  • Develop and negotiate all supplier agreements — MSAs, supply agreements, NDA/IP protections, pricing frameworks, and epidemic failure provisions.
  • Maintain a live supplier risk register covering financial health, single-source dependencies, and geographic concentration; lead continuity planning.
  • Support UFLPA traceability requirements and monitor tariff exposure across the CM portfolio.
Quality & Indirect Procurement
  • Own the supplier scorecard program and hold CAPA escalation authority at the CM level; oversee IQC/OQC standards and build toward full Quality Engineer capability.
  • Manage indirect procurement across MRO, capex, services, and packaging; develop spend analytics to identify savings opportunities.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6–8, including CM Program Managers and a Contracts Manager, with two open roles to be hired.
  • Partner with NPI & PMO, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to align sourcing strategy with product and business objectives.
Job Requirements
  • 10+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management; 5+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Deep experience in consumer electronics with an outsourced contract manufacturing model.
  • Proven track record managing Asia-based CMs — relationship ownership, commercial negotiation, QBRs, and performance management.
  • Strong commodity management expertise across electronics categories and experience building multi-year category strategies.
  • Demonstrated contract development and negotiation skills: MSAs, supply agreements, NDA/IP, and epidemic failure clauses.
  • Working knowledge of UFLPA, Section 301/IEEPA tariffs, quality systems (IQC, OQC, CAPA, ISO 9001), and ERP/MRP platforms.
  • Up to 35% travel, including regular international travel to Asia.
Essential Job Function
  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Experience with Tier-1 ODMs (Sercomm, Foxconn, Pegatron, Compal, or similar) in a category or supplier management capacity.
  • Background in outdoor, hunting, or ruggedized consumer electronics.
  • Experience standing up or scaling a sourcing organization from the ground up.
  • Prior accountability for a COGS target, direct material cost budget, or indirect spend envelope.
