With more than 1,000 team members nationwide, we’re known for a warm, people-first culture and for giving our employees the tools to build rewarding careers.

Your Day at Our McDonough, GA Plant

As an Electromechanical Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll start your shift on the production floor, moving confidently through every area of the plant and grounds to tackle the day’s priorities. One hour you might diagnose a PLC-controlled filler, and the next you’re restoring a conveyor, tuning a VFD, or rebuilding a pump to keep our packaging lines running flawlessly. You’ll switch between high and low voltage work, interpret electrical schematics, and collaborate with operators and engineers—always with safety and uptime front of mind.

Core Impact
  • Proactively find, diagnose, and resolve issues across facility components and systems.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging equipment.
  • Apply pump theory to service and rebuild pumps.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Work safely on low- and high-voltage circuits; diagnose motors and controls.
  • Repair electrical power and control circuits, including PLC/solid-state equipment.
  • Perform gas and arc welding and soldering as needed.
  • Support plant utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration.
  • Handle basic plumbing and carpentry tasks.
  • Identify and order parts using manuals and prints.
  • Communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
  • Access all plant and grounds areas to complete assigned work.
What You Bring

High school diploma or GED; or a minimum of 5 years of related hands-on maintenance experience and/or training; or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in the areas listed above.
  • Proficiency in: PLC troubleshooting and programming; electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; hydraulics; industrial automation troubleshooting; machine safety inspections; and working safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to complete the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with a score of 60% or better.
Tools and Technologies You’ll Use
  • MIG, TIG, and Stick Welders; Manual Plasma Cutter (Miller)
  • Manual Grinder (Kent); Band Saw; Belt Sander
  • Manual Lathe (Clausing); Manual Vertical Mill (Bridgeport)
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (Fanuc, Allen Bradley) and HMI
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD); Servo Motors
  • Vision Systems (Keyence, Banner)
  • Conveyor Systems; Palletizer; Gluer and Box Folding Machines
  • Industrial Robot (Fanuc); Measurement Gauges
Compliance

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Why Ken’s

Join an enthusiastic team where craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and career growth are real. You’ll be part of a company that celebrates its heritage while investing in modern technology—and in you.
