Job description

Summary
The Production Supervisor is an integral member of the Operations Team and will oversee the daily production and packaging of products and be accountable for executing the production schedule, training, development, evaluation, discipline, and general supervision of staff to create a proficient and engaged team that can achieve plant targets and team goals. This is a hands-on position involving the supervision of a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direction and oversight of all activities, personnel, and resources in production areas to meet business demands of the organization.

Lending assistance and direction in processing production, and coordination with sanitation, warehouse, logistics, and maintenance in support of plant initiatives.

Attend daily and weekly operations meetings - escalation, tactical teams, safety teams.

Develop Root Cause analysis based on the shift performance indicators.

Create corrective action plans based on the shift performance indicators.

Communicate shift performance, challenges, wins and support needs to the shift daily in the huddle.

Maintain all shift visual management tools.

Complete shift end reports and ensure all documentation for the shift is accurate and thorough.

Quality and Safety, enforces Company's safety rules and conduct to maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsible for training new and current employees.

Supervise and lead production associates, manage line leads, maintain direction that is consistent with company's goals, Promote teamwork.

Qualifications & Experience

Knowledge of food safety and plant safety requirements.

3-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment

3-5 years' experience in food processing and/or third-party food regulatory/third party auditing

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field preferred.

Proven Supervisory or Team Lead experience in food manufacturing.

Lean training preferred.

Leadership training required.

English/Spanish speaking preferred.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are required (Outlook, Word, Excel)
