Job description

Monday–Friday with occasional evening & weekend coverageBALANCE eating disorder treatment center™ is seeking an Admissions Specialist to join our growing team!

The Admissions Specialist will be responsible for the full admissions lifecycle from prospective client inquiry to program admit date.

Our Admissions Specialists manage all tasks related to program admits, including initial consultation with clients and their families, ongoing outreach to clients contemplating treatment, program orientation, and contributing to program census.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct intake assessments
  • Manage inquiries and track prospective clients from initial call to program admit
  • Make and deliver recommendations to prospective clients
  • Effectively communicate with clients, their families/friends and referral sources to verify admissions criteria
  • Explain financial obligations to clients upon admission and manage financial documents
    related to program
  • Work with Admissions Director to assign clients to their treatment team, making outpatient referrals as necessary
  • Attend staff meetings, and keeping the team aware of upcoming admits through case presentations
  • Input client information into facility database, overseeing creation of client chart and managing as needed
Ideal Candidate

Coach, counselor, therapist, or mental health professional; licensed clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LMSW) preferred with strong communication skills

Sales experience and customer service background preferred

  • Ability to be on-call several times a week on a rotating basis
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, convincingly, and effectively
  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to support Admissions Director
  • Knowledge of eating disorders and eating disorder treatment a PLUS
  • Lived experience with eating disorders a PLUS
  • Experience with working in the mental health field, either in a clinical or admissions-
    related role preferred
  • Vacation: 10 days per year

Salary: $60,000-$75,000 per year*

*Compensation is based on experience and qualifications (leadership history, clinical experience,
insurance knowledge, supervision experience, and the amount of eating disorder treatment
experience)
