Job description

Eastern Star Church Musician Agreement
Mission Statement:
To give praise and honor to our Savior Jesus Christ through our musical talent and live our lives as a Christian example. To enhance the overall ministry of the Eastern Star Church through the Music Ministry.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
In order to fulfill the mission of the Eastern Star Church Music Ministry, It is important that each musician understands and agrees with the essential duties and responsibilities.
  1. Each musician is responsible to be at services and rehearsals (Not To Exceed (NTE) 4 per week) as designated by the Campus Music Director or on the Musicians schedule.
  2. Musician will be compensated additional $60 per additional service/rehearsal greater than 4 per week.
  3. Musician compensation will be reduced $60 per scheduled service/rehearsal absence.
  4. Each musician is responsible to be on station 15 minutes prior to start time at all services and rehearsals.
  5. Each musician must contact the Campus Music Director or designated person when unable to attend the required services or rehearsals.
  6. Each musician is required to learn and know all materials for each choir.
  7. Church Equipment and Instruments are to be utilized for Eastern Star Church or its affiliates events only. (not for personal functions or events)
  8. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Reports to:
Campus Music Director
Education:
Up to one month related experience or training. Continual maintenance of and improvement of the necessary musical skills.
Language skills:
Ability to effectively communicate with others. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires sitting, use of hands to fingers, handle or feel, talking or hearing, reaching with hands and arms. Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Work environment
The work environment characteristic described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential function of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function. Work can be indoors or outdoors, with moderate noise level.
Position: Lead Guitarist
Compensation: $12,000/per yr

Employment is with the mutual consent of you and the Church. Consequently, both you and the church have the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice unless otherwise specified in writing and signed by your and the employer. This employment "At Will" constitutes the understanding between you and the church on the subject of termination and it supersedes all prior agreements. This employment "At Will" will remain in effect throughout my employment with the church and may not be modified by any oral or implied agreement.
