Responsibilities and Duties
  • WHO/WHAT: If your dream job includes fresh air, tiny humans with big personalities, and the quiet satisfaction of a home running just a little smoother because you're in it... keep reading. This warm, easygoing Franklin Park family is ready to welcome a professional, proactive nanny who can step in as both a calm, steady presence for their two little ones and the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps daily life flowing. Dad works from home, but you'll be given full autonomy in caring for the kids. Their three-year-old son is the definition of curious and energetic. He's equally happy swinging a golf club, collecting flowers like tiny treasures, or narrating his thoughts about the world around him. Give him the outdoors, and he'll stay there all day - but he also has a soft side, knowing when it's time to retreat to his quiet space and recharge. His 8-month-old little sister is already on the move - crawling, sitting up, and exploring anything within reach. Add in a love for music and new discoveries, and you've got a dynamic little duo that will absolutely keep you on your toes (in the best way).
Your mornings will center around the kids - getting outside, following their curiosity, and creating a rhythm that feels calm, connected, and just structured enough. This family isn't looking for a constant entertainer - they're looking for a grounded, present caregiver who knows that sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones. As the day unfolds, you'll naturally shift between childcare and household support. Think children's laundry, family laundry, bottles, tidying, light meal prep, and keeping things moving along. Both parents may be home at times, and when they jump in with the kids, you'll pivot like a pro - spotting what needs to be done and taking care of it without needing a play-by-play. They'll happily admit they've been in their "babysitter era"... and they're ready to level up. This is a family who truly values a nanny who can anticipate needs, bring structure where it's helpful, and create a sense of ease in the home.
Scheduling-wise, they understand part-time roles require flexibility on both sides. While the core need is 2-3 days a week, they'd love someone open to a bit of flexibility within a general 7 AM - 5 PM window, with schedules thoughtfully planned a few weeks in advance. They're hoping to find someone who will grow with their family for years to come - the kind of nanny who becomes a steady, trusted presence through many seasons of life. If you're reading this thinking, "Wait... this is exactly my kind of role," don't overthink it - APPLY before someone else scoops it up.

The Ideal Nanny IS...PROACTIVE (WITH A SIDE OF COMMON SENSE). You're the kind of person who walks into a room and instinctively knows what would make things run better - and then just... does it. No micromanaging required. You're calm, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around young children without needing to constantly entertain them. You know how to engage, guide, and connect - whether that's outside exploring, chatting about the world, or simply sitting together in a quiet moment. You're organized, dependable, and take pride in your work. You understand how to toggle between childcare and household support seamlessly - and maybe even enjoy the rhythm of it.
