Compel Fitness is a fast-growing national personal training company that provides a positive and exciting work environment as well as a springboard for career growth and opportunity.

We are looking for a motivated part-time evening Personal Trainer that is goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and has a passion for fitness. A Personal Trainer will provide inspiring and personalized training sessions for small and large groups on a regular basis, while working with a team of dedicated staff to help members achieve results! As a personal trainer a positive encouraging personality is key.

Compel Fitness sessions are high energy, motivating, group fitness, client focused environments. A Compel Personal Trainer, must have a strong understanding of the functions and vital processes of the human body so they can effectively deliver pre-designed group based personal training workouts. This position requires a strong ability to coach, manage time, and motivate multiple clients in a group setting.

Qualified candidates will have a drive to succeed and have a genuine interest in health and fitness. They are always encouraging their clients to reach maximum performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PERSONAL TRAINER:


  • Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of clients

  • Energize and motivate clients throughout entirety of sessions

  • Build Compel class attendance, and support in retaining current members

  • Ensure safety of participants in regards to heart rate and exercise technique

  • Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels

  • Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and complete required monthly educational development assignments

  • Handle member concerns when applicable

  • Strong knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics

  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized

  • Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills

  • Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels

  • Must hold current fitness certification from an Compel Fitness approved education company such as: ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT, NCCPT (other certifications are open for discussion)

REQUIRMENTS OF PERSONAL TRAINER:


  • Personal Training Certification

  • CPR/AED certification

  • 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry (preferred)

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs plus

  • Available to coach classes in the: early morning, late afternoon/evening, and or weekends
