Cocktail Server (Part Time/Full Time/Seasonal)
Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort amp; Spa at Grande Dunes
Myrtle Beach, SC

We are looking for experienced Servers with excellent customer service skills, who are passionate about the hospitality industry. The position will be for our outlets to include Oceans 82nd, Blue Restaurant amp; Bar or the Blue Café Pool Deck. We cross train our staff to work in multiple areas. Hours available are part time, full time and could be seasonal as well. To succeed as a server, you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner with a sense of urgency
  • Answer questions about food and drinks including entree ingredients, preparations, and accompanying items.
  • Promptly greet newly seated guests in a friendly manner.
  • Accurately take orders and up sell menu items such as appetizers, entrees, beverages, and desserts.
  • Properly and quickly enter orders on the POS computer system.
  • Attend to guests needs when delivering food and check back with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Ensure guests' expectations have been exceeded. Professionally resolve food or service issues.
  • Maintain table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter, and providing extra napkins if necessary.
  • Promptly accept payment and follow appropriate accounting procedures.
  • Uphold and maintain high quality customer service and hospitality.
  • Set up amp; take down wait station according to opening and closing procedures.
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of significant issues and take prompt corrective action.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working atmosphere.
  • Ensuring back of house area and outlet are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
  • Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years old. Server experience required.
  • Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company uniform.
  • Ability to operate P.O.S. system, make change correctly and make credit card transactions accurately.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A polite, engaging personality.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
