Job description

 Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is hiring for a Lab Tech in Slater, IA. Apply today if you meet the qualification listed below!

Location: Slater, IA

Duration: 6 month contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Pay rate: $17.97/hour

Job responsibilities for the Lab Tech position include:

  • Carrying out laboratory formulation work

  • Performs laboratory work under supervision and with the appropriate equipment

  • Performs standard work consisting of interrelated steps and processes

  • Gaining work experience while performing work and expanding his / her professional knowledge

  • First job after apprenticeship laboratory assistant

  • Responsible for safety, cleanliness, functionality, and use of work-relevant equipment and their environment

  • Carries out Physical-chemical tests according to test methods

  • Can correctly follow methods

  • Can formulate simple formulation types (eg. EC, SC)

  • Performing experimental work programmes. Non-standard work can only be carried out under supervision

  • Documentation of experiments and test results for the subsequent evaluation by the line manager

Skills:    

  • English preferably level A2

  • Use of Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Knowledge of LIMS and ELN is an advantage

  • Experience within a laboratory environment

  • Can carry out new work programmes independently after introduction

  • Can conduct lab work whilst maintaining a tidy and clean work environment and adhering to the relevant safety regulations

  • Can compile data adequately for reports and presentations

  • Shows exemplary HSE behavior and is active in the search for opportunities for improvement
