At EaDo Bike Co, located in the heart of Houston’s vibrant East Downtown neighborhood, we’re more than just a bike shop—we’re a hub for cyclists, commuters, and adventurers alike. We’re on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Bicycle Service Technician to join our team and help us keep Houston rolling smoothly.

As a Bicycle Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers have the best customer experience possible. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Diagnose and service bicycles: From novice to advanced service needs, you’ll handle everything from non-motorized bicycles to e-bikes.
• Customer communication: Build positive, detail-oriented relationships with customers and clients.
• Stay organized: Maintain detailed documentation of service activities and assist with inventory management.
• Sales support: Help customers find the perfect bikes, accessories, and services to meet their needs.
• Bicycle rentals: Manage and service our bicycle rental customers to ensure a smooth experience.
• Keep learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest cycling technology in this fast-evolving industry.
• Community involvement: Represent EaDo Bike Co at social and cycling events, and act as a steward for the East Downtown neighborhood, the City of Houston, and the broader cycling community.

We’re seeking a candidate who shares our passion for cycling and commitment to excellent service. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience: At least 1 full-time year or 3+ part-time years as a bicycle service technician in a professional environment.
• Customer service skills: A minimum of 3 years in retail customer service or sales.
• Technical proficiency: Expertise in modern bicycle components, including hydraulic brake bleeding, suspension service, and e-bike & electronic shifting diagnostics.
• Tech-savviness: Familiarity with Microsoft and Google software for documentation, information resources, and communication.
• Personal qualities: Self-motivation, self-sufficiency, efficient time management, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Organization: A clean and organized work style.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability: Must be able to work at least one shift per week.
