Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist with a strong background in hydrogeologic modeling to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This role will focus on providing expert hydrogeologic modeling, well and pump test design, and data interpretation for CERCLA cleanup sites associated with former hard rock mines. The ideal candidate will have significant technical experience and be available to manage related projects as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Hydrogeologic Modeling: Provide advanced modeling to support cleanup efforts at former hard rock mine sites under CERCLA regulations.
  • Well and Pump Test Design: Design well and pump tests to support hydrogeological investigations and site remediation.
  • Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret hydrogeologic data to guide decision-making and remediation strategies for CERCLA sites.
  • Project Management: Manage hydrogeology-related projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proposal Support: Assist with the development of contract and project proposals to secure new work opportunities.
  • EPA Experience: Leverage your experience working on EPA projects to navigate regulatory requirements and ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of hydrogeologic experience, with a focus on CERCLA cleanup sites and former hard rock mines.
  • Proven experience in hydrogeologic modeling, well and pump test design, and data interpretation.
  • Extensive experience working on EPA projects and understanding environmental regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not required
  • California Licensed Hydrogeologist (CHG) or California Professional Geologist (PG) with the ability to obtain the CHG.

Pay Range
$150,000-$170,000 USD
The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
