ALABASTER CITY SCHOOLS
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Secretary I - Technology and Operations
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Assistant Superintendent of Technology
JOB GOAL: Assist the Technology and Operations Departments in day-to-day functions such as obtaining quotes, ordering, inventorying, and troubleshooting. Provide assistance to school personnel regarding operations and technology matters.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Proficient in technology skills in various programs, i.e., typing, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.
  3. Exceptional organizational skills
  4. Effective communication skills
  5. Professional telephone etiquette

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Obtain quotes
  2. Create and enter purchase orders (POs)
  3. Monitor technology and maintenance trouble tickets
  4. Assist with technology troubleshooting
  5. Inventory technology purchases and input items into the online inventory system
  6. Arrange for technology and operations assistance and schedule requests for sound systems, interactive panels, and other operational needs for district and school events, etc.
  7. Enter and track PowerSchool Professional Development (PD), approve external PD requests, and work with Human Resources on teacher recertification and transcripts
  8. Assist with compliance documentation and reporting for operations and security platforms, including Centegix, School Dog, Circool, Raptor, etc.
  9. Create and collect surveys and evidence for local school and district needs as well as state requirements
  10. Invoice for Chromebook damages, charges
  11. Coordinate building access with schools and school personnel for vendor delivery/installation/repairs
  12. Pull reports for data requests for school and district administrators
  13. Organize data privacy agreements (DPAs), confidentiality agreements, nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), etc.
  14. Other duties as assigned

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:12-Months / 240 days per year
EVALUATION:Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the support personnel evaluation system and Board policy.
SALARY RANGE: Appropriate placement on current salary schedule.
