Job description

Job Description:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs and develops engaging and interactive training materials, curriculum, and programs - including instructor-led courses, job aids, e-learning modules, and multimedia presentations for various learning and development initiatives at AAON.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy of training materials. Ensures that curriculum aligns with company goals, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Supports needs assessments to identify performance gaps and determine appropriate training solutions to address them.
  • Facilitates training sessions (in-classroom, train-the-trainer, virtual) to guide participants in their skill development. Provides train-the-trainer programming and ongoing coaching for frontline leaders and trainers.
  • Utilizes instructional design methodologies under the guidance of the Instructional Design Lead to create effective learning experiences.
  • Applies adult learning principles to design learner-centered training programs. Provides advice and applies diverse approaches to help participants learn effectively.
  • Reviews and updates training materials and tests as appropriate.
  • Participates in the assessment and grading, feedback, and required certification process for various programs. Proctors knowledge-based tests and assists subject-matter expert / trainer with performance-based testing.
  • Provides test remediation and reassessment support for all job required training.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Conducts evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in adult learning.
  • Participates in internal team meetings and program coordination meetings.
  • Maintains project plans, tracks progress, and report status using department tools and systems.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience in adult learning, and 3-5 years' experience delivering training programs focused on technical and/or professional skills or workplace competencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient with Learning Management Systems (LMS) as an administrative and reporting tool, Workday experience preferred.
  • Proficient with content authoring tools like Articulate Rise & Storyline, Camtasia, Synthesia and Canva.
  • Skilled in curriculum and content development for various delivery methods (e.g., e-learning, instructor-led).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and train others.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during working hours.
  • Work may require periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, noise, and some chemical fume exposure.
  • Work may require occasional travel.
