Job description

About FlexFactor

FlexFactor is the real-time, AI-powered recovery layer digital commerce has been missing.

While most payment solutions operate before authorization or attempt recovery after a transaction has already failed, FlexFactor is built to identify, intercept, and reverse eligible false declines during the authorization moment itself. This allows merchants to recover legitimate transactions before a failed payment, lost sale, or damaging customer experience ever occurs.

Our AcceptIQ platform is powered by a proprietary Decline Foundation Model and coordinated decisioning engines that evaluate each transaction across issuer behavior, data quality, merchant profile, MCC alignment, available MIDs, and routing paths.

When AcceptIQ identifies a legitimate customer who was incorrectly declined, FlexFactor purchases the merchantโ€™s invoice, guarantees the transaction, and assumes the recovery risk. The customer completes the purchase seamlessly using the payment method already selected, without retrying, switching cards, contacting support, or ever knowing the original payment failed.

Invisible to customers and invaluable to merchants, FlexFactor helps digital commerce businesses recover revenue, protect conversion, and preserve the customer experience in real time.

The Role

FlexFactor is looking for a driven, competitive, and highly resourceful Enterprise Business Development Representative to create new opportunities with mid-market and enterprise merchants.

This is a hunting-only role focused on outbound prospecting and securing qualified meetings. You will be responsible for identifying the right companies and decision-makers, developing thoughtful outreach strategies, earning their attention, and creating opportunities for our Enterprise Account Executives.

This is not a role for someone who expects to rely on inbound leads or send generic sequences at scale. The right person will research accounts, personalize outreach, use multiple channels, and persist intelligently until they secure engagement.

You will target senior stakeholders across Payments, Finance, Risk, Revenue, ecommerce, and Operations. You will also help develop prospects identified through industry events, strategic partners, intent signals, and target-account campaigns.

What Youโ€™ll Own
  • Identify and prospect high-value mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • Research companies, payment environments, business models, and relevant triggers
  • Map key stakeholders and buying personas within target organizations
  • Create personalized outbound strategies for priority accounts
  • Engage prospects through email, phone, LinkedIn, video, and other channels
  • Communicate FlexFactorโ€™s value clearly and credibly to senior decision-makers
  • Generate qualified meetings for Enterprise Account Executives
  • Develop prospects identified through events, strategic partners, campaigns, and intent data
  • Follow up persistently and professionally over extended periods
  • Test and improve messaging, sequences, and outreach strategies
  • Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and meeting data in HubSpot
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and GTM leadership
  • Share market feedback and prospect insights with the broader team
  • Take ownership of meeting quality, show rates, and pipeline contribution

What Success Looks Like
  • You consistently secure qualified meetings with target mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • You create opportunities through your own outbound work rather than waiting for leads
  • Your outreach is thoughtful, personalized, and relevant to the prospect
  • You successfully engage senior stakeholders across complex organizations
  • Event, partner, and campaign prospects receive persistent and disciplined follow-up
  • Your meetings convert into credible Sales opportunities
  • Your activity and pipeline data are accurate and reliable
  • You consistently achieve or exceed meeting and pipeline targets

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 2+ years of successful outbound BDR, SDR, business development, or prospecting experience
  • A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding outbound performance targets
  • Experience prospecting into mid-market or enterprise organizations
  • Proven ability to secure meetings through cold outbound outreach
  • Strong research skills and the ability to understand complex target accounts
  • Experience engaging director, vice president, and executive-level prospects
  • Confidence using phone, email, LinkedIn, and multi-channel outreach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate a differentiated value proposition clearly and concisely
  • Strong organization, discipline, and attention to detail
  • Resilience, competitiveness, and comfort with rejection
  • Ability to operate independently and take ownership without constant reminders
  • A focus on qualified meetings and pipeline outcomes, not activity alone

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in payments, fintech, ecommerce, SaaS, or complex B2B technology
  • Familiarity with payment processing, authorization, declines, fraud, risk, or payment optimization
  • Experience prospecting into Payments, Finance, Risk, Revenue, ecommerce, or Operations leaders
  • Experience using HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay, or comparable prospecting tools
  • Experience supporting account-based outbound campaigns
  • Experience prospecting into long and complex enterprise Sales cycles
  • Experience developing prospects generated through events or strategic partners
  • Experience working in an early-stage or venture-backed company

The Operating DNA We Value

We are looking for a high achiever who is hungry to win and raises the standard around them.

The right person will demonstrate:

  • A hunter-first mentality
  • Competitive drive
  • High agency and personal ownership
  • Urgency and relentless follow-through
  • Resilience and comfort with rejection
  • Resourcefulness and creativity
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Coachability and a desire to improve
  • Strong preparation and attention to detail
  • Low ego and strong team orientation
  • Accountability for outcomes rather than activity

Sending the email, making the call, or completing the sequence is not the result.

The result is earning the prospectโ€™s attention, securing the qualified meeting, and creating a legitimate opportunity for the business.

Why Join FlexFactor
  • Help build a new category within payments and digital commerce
  • Prospect into sophisticated mid-market and enterprise organizations
  • Sell a highly differentiated solution addressing a large and costly merchant problem
  • Learn directly from experienced leaders across Sales, GTM, Partnerships, and payments
  • Join a fast-moving team where high performers receive meaningful opportunity and visibility
  • Highly competitive compensation package
  • Uncapped performance-based incentive compensation
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Clear opportunity for professional development and career growth

Reporting Structure

This role reports through the Sales organization and works closely with Enterprise Account Executives, Marketing, Partnerships, and GTM leadership.

Location: [Insert location or remote expectations]

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Highly competitive base salary and uncapped variable compensation

FlexFactor is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
