SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing and Ecommerce Manager owns and leads key e-commerce and digital marketing programs that support long-term direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales growth and consumer brand engagement. This is a hands-on role that combines planning, analysis, optimization, and cross-functional leadership with execution across web, email, SMS, social, and paid digital channels. The role exercises discretion and independent judgment in prioritizing initiatives, recommending strategies, and driving measurable results while protecting brand standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conceptualize and support the execution of creative and forward-thinking content for use in all digital marketing channels: emails, website, digital advertising, social media, wine club communication, and others.
  • Develop, execute, and report on an e-commerce plan that supports our DTC strategy and looks for opportunities to enhance and grow our presence while staying true to brand standards.
  • Plan, develop, and execute the social media strategy for both organic and paid.
  • Contribute to photo and video shoots to create high-quality content that is engaging, informative, consistent, and supports consumer messaging needs.
  • Maintain the Gloria Ferrer website and CMS with accurate and current information, including but not limited to managing new product setup, promotions, and events.
  • Look for opportunities to increase traffic through SEO optimization and utilize Google Analytics to improve website performance and inform strategy.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to create, monitor, and optimize digital advertising within budget. Collect reporting and utilize key findings to inform strategy.
  • Stay current with emerging opportunities in the digital marketing world to inform department priorities and strategy. Look for ways to evolve in the digital marketing realm while staying true to our strong brand history.
  • Clearly convey the brand voice and protect Gloria Ferrer’s brand standards in all digital marketing activities.
  • Conducts consumer research and analysis on current and potential consumer base.
  • Oversee strategy, implementation, and measurement of SMS marketing while integrating into the new digital strategy.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meets regularly with the General Manager, DTC Operations, and Marketing teams to review business progress, results, and strategy.
  • Participate in industry and consumer events, seminars, and shows as necessary
  • Ensure that the positive company Culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions. This includes ethical and legal behaviors, plus compliance with state and federal law and company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Four or more years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or direct to consumer marketing, including experience independently managing campaigns and digital initiatives.
  • Experience in the wine industry or consumer packaged goods preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing e-commerce websites, email and SMS campaigns, organic and paid social media, digital advertising, and website content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based digital marketing and e-commerce applications, including Klaviyo, Canva, WordPress, Google Workspace, Google Analytics, and Meta Business Suite.
  • Experience with Commerce7 (C7), Adobe Photoshop, and Typeform is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret digital performance data, identify opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, creative judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across digital platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, work independently, and lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution and measurement.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid CA driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to type, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms, particularly when working with marketing materials, digital content, or event setup.

  • Must be able to occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions during events, photoshoots or content gathering.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods during event coordination or on-site promotions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 48 pounds, such as marketing materials or event supplies and case of wine.
  • Must be able to see clearly to work on computers for long periods, create digital marketing assets, and proofread content.
  • Must be able to work occasional long hours, particularly during events or campaign deadlines.
  • Must be able to sustain periods of sitting while working on a computer, as well as occasional standing, walking, or light physical activity during event setups or promotional activities.

COMPENSATION
  • $90,0000 - $100,000 annual base salary plus KPI bonus. Final determination will be dependent on candidates overall skills and qualifications.
