Role Summary: The Senior Sales Analyst - eCommerce supports online sales growth by transforming digital commerce, shopper, and sales data into actionable insights, decision-ready recommendations, and reporting tools that improve performance across eCommerce channels. This role partners closely with sales, marketing, merchandising, and customer teams to analyze online sales trends, monitor digital shelf and promotional performance, identify growth opportunities, and enable faster, smarter business decisions in the eCommerce space.
Responsibilities:
  • Collect, integrate, and analyze eCommerce sales, traffic, conversion, and shopper data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that influence online business performance.

  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards that monitor key eCommerce metrics such as sales, conversion, traffic, average order value, digital assortment, content health, and promotional performance.

  • Analyze online sales performance across retailer dot-com sites, marketplaces, and other digital channels to identify drivers of growth and underperformance.

  • Support forecasting and scenario analysis for eCommerce sales, promotions, seasonal events, and category performance.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of digital promotions, pricing, product content, search visibility, and assortment changes to determine business impact and recommend actions.

  • Monitor product, category, and customer performance across eCommerce channels and translate findings into recommendations that improve sales and execution.

  • Use visualizations and business storytelling to translate complex digital commerce data into clear insights, recommended actions, and measurable outcomes.

  • Partner with sales, marketing, merchandising, brand, and customer teams to support eCommerce planning, reporting, and performance reviews.

  • Identify friction points in the online path to purchase, including traffic, content, conversion, fulfillment, and promotional execution, and recommend improvements.

  • Provide analytical support for customer meetings, business reviews, line reviews, and internal strategy discussions related to online sales performance.

  • Act as a liaison between business teams and retail or customer partners to translate eCommerce business questions into analytical solutions and decision-ready outputs.

  • Lead deep-dive analyses on digital sales trends, category performance, competitive activity, and shopper behavior to identify growth opportunities.

  • Build decision frameworks and performance narratives that help internal teams prioritize opportunities and take action more effectively.

  • Promote analytical best practices, improve reporting consistency, and help strengthen decision intelligence and enablement within the eCommerce business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, marketing, economics, statistics, or a related field required; master's degree a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales analytics, eCommerce analytics, digital commerce, business intelligence, or a related role required.

  • Experience working with online sales data, retailer.com reporting, digital shelf metrics, web or traffic analytics, and promotional performance analysis preferred.

  • Retailer/supplier or omnichannel business experience required.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, along with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and the ability to pull, blend, transform, and validate data into trusted, decision-ready information.

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce KPIs and online business drivers, including sales, conversion, average order value, traffic, search performance, content quality, and promotional effectiveness.

  • Ability to analyze customer behavior and digital shopping trends to uncover actionable insights that improve online sales performance.

  • Experience with forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance modeling preferred.

  • Ability to translate data into practical business recommendations and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to tell a clear story through data.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively across sales, marketing, merchandising, and customer teams.
