The eCommerce Merchandiser Specialist is a critical role within the Covetrus North America Commercial Excellence eCommerce team. The eCommerce Merchandiser Specialist is responsible for positioning and communicating Covetrus brands and products across all eCommerce channels. This person will collaborate with other eCommerce team members and various cross-functional teams to understand what brands and products they need to position across online channels and platforms, and the most effective and profitable way to market them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Position and communicate products and goods sold by Covetrus across all eCommerce channels and platforms to ensure high-quality online shopping experience for veterinary customers
โ€ข Stock virtual eCommerce shelves by collaborating with the Manager of Web to understand the current product base (e.g., Specialty Brands, North America Commercial)
โ€ข Select, promote, update, and manage merchandise across the eCommerce properties
o Ensure product images are available and meet resolution, size and format requirements
o Edit, proofread, and customize product descriptions and features/benefits that effectively capture their selling points
โ€ข Make sure eCommerce merchandising executions are consistent with brand and marketing goals
โ€ข Gather insights utilizing data analysis to understand effectiveness and performance of product and goods' positioning, and use insights to inform future positioning
โ€ข Collaborate with content, creative, and marketing teams to develop personalized campaigns displayed on homepage banner for target audiences
o Measure personalized campaign performance with banner views' metrics and total revenue generated
โ€ข Manage improved search platform to provide more accurate and strategic web search results and tracking with search engine optimization
โ€ข Manage paid advertisements from manufacturers on homepage, with call-to-action links
o Measure and report out paid ad performance with views, clicks, and transactions metrics
โ€ข Manage, schedule, and execute social media posts on Covetrus North America's Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter accounts
o Monitor customer interactions and comments on social media pages
o Measure and report out overall engagement and performance of social media campaigns
โ€ข Partner with technology department on site enhancements and ensure timely execution
โ€ข Collaborate with supplier management team to ensure new products are marketed effectively on website and print media
โ€ข Monitor and resolve day-to-day product page and account issues/updates
โ€ข Update product-specific messaging in regards to allocation and supply chain status on online platforms
  • Lead and assist in other projects, meetings, and perform other duties as assigned in the merchandising area

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
โ€ข 3+ years of experience in eCommerce within a B2B landscape
โ€ข Extensive experience in working with business customers and suppliers
โ€ข Experience in copywriting
โ€ข Demonstrated strong business judgement and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
โ€ข Experience in the Animal Health industry (preferred)
COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
โ€ข Knowledge of content management systems
โ€ข Intermediate to advanced experience with PC and/or Macintosh software programs including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project and Excel
โ€ข Intermediate to Advance operational knowledge of SAP Backoffice & SAP SmartEdit
โ€ข Intermediate to Advance operational knowledge of Stibo (or like Product Management System)
โ€ข Ability to manage stakeholder groups across different functions and coordinate merchandising review routines
โ€ข Self-starter, dependable, and capable of performing under pressure
