Job Description
Our client, a leading beauty brand, is seeking a strategic and results-driven eCommerce Merchandising Manager to lead product positioning, planning, and optimization across our DTC website. You'll be responsible for curating product assortments, managing online merchandising, analyzing performance, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive conversion, maximize sell-through, and meet sales goals.

Responsibilities:
Lead product merchandising strategy for the brand's eCommerce business, owning how products are presented, prioritized, and sold across the site to drive revenue, conversion, and AOV.
Own assortment strategy and demand forecasting across core, seasonal, and exclusive SKUs by leveraging historical performance, trend analysis, and marketing inputs to inform purchase orders, inventory flow, SKU rationalization, and markdown recommendations in partnership with Planning and Operations.
Ensure products are accurately displayed with correct pricing, images, and descriptions and optimize homepage, category pages, product detail pages, educational landing pages & blogs for both brand storytelling and performance including SEO
Establish actionable plans to identify and improve underperforming SKUs or categories, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize visibility, positioning, promotional support, or assortment changes.
Own promotional merchandising strategy, including bundles, sets, exclusives, and value messaging;partner with Ecommerce leadership on markdown cadence and clearance strategies.
Identify underperforming SKUs or categories and develop strategies to improve sell-through
Optimize product discoverability by owning on-site search strategy, filters, navigation logic, and category architecture in collaboration with the Ecommerce Manager.
Partner closely with Product Development and Marketing to ensure a compelling, differentiated assortment, including online exclusives, DTC-only offerings, and strategic cross-sell opportunities aligned to the promotional calendar.
Manage on-site product subscriptions strategy, including product setup, assortment optimization, churn reduction initiatives, and subscriber experience, in partnership with the Ecommerce Manager and agency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, marketing, operations, and leadership teams, ensuring alignment across assortment, inventory, creative, and promotional strategies, while addressing any fulfillment issues or inventory risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or related/equivalent field
Shopify experience required
5+ years' experience in online merchandising in a DTC environment
Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent written / verbal communication
Possess a high awareness of sales analytics, brand goals for growth and site navigation
Strong understanding of UI, consumer digital shopping behavior
Performance-driven, self-motivated for achievement
