Job description

Job Description 100% on-site in Chelsea, MI Second shift 3:30p to 11:30p Vehicle Chassis Rolls 2nd shift Test Scheduler This position supports vehicle chassis dynamometer emissions and energy consumption testing necessary for vehicle development and required for vehicle Certification & Compliance demonstration on second shift (3:30 pm - 11:30 pm). The test scheduling includes but is not limited to: Vehicle tailpipe emissions, evaporative emissions, fuel economy, on-board diagnostic functionality and electrical systems efficiency testing. The position Supervises twelve driver mechanics, nine chassis dynamometer test cells, two evaporative SHED's, 30-50 tests per day/shift, and manages vehicle refueling/charging with 150+ vehicle management (soaking) area.

The Scheduler will interact with requesting engineers to provide high quality test results, safely, and efficiently. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Basic Requirements: Associate Degree in Technical field Minimum 3 years' experience in testing management or supervision with emphasis on Vehicle emissions or powertrain systems Team player with excellent communication skills Dedicated and well organized Strong computer skills - experience with MS Office Must be willing to work overtime and weekends to support critical program timing Preferred Requirements: BS Degree or equivalent General understanding of vehicle powertrain and exhaust after treatment Experience with vehicle emissions testing and with conventional emission analyzers (HC, CO, CO2, NOx and CH4) Experience working in a union environment Local candidate - within a 30 minute commute to Chelsea Additional Must Haves: Must have experience supervising people Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to support critical testing 100% onsite in Chelsea, MI No Driving a company vehicle required No Travel Contract to hire opportunity.
