Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Verification in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor activity, and support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help address security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors, verifying credentials and/or authorizations in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, trailer areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, damaged barriers, and/or other security-related issues.
  • Support logistics and distribution operations by helping to manage visitor processing, truck and delivery access, and traffic flow at designated checkpoints while following post orders and client-facing service standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
