Additionally, they must frequently collaborate with multiple departments and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Staying calm under pressure and being able to quickly adapt to new information are critical to overcoming these obstacles. By anticipating challenges and employing strong organizational skills, logistics professionals help maintain smooth and efficient operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in dynamic logistics?

Familiarity with logistics software (such as SAP, Oracle, or WMS), data analysis tools, and professional certifications like APICS or Lean Six Sigma are highly valued. Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and effective communication skills are vital soft skills in this field. These competencies ensure efficient movement of goods, effective collaboration, and the ability to quickly respond to shifting operational demands.

Can I work in logistics remotely?

Logistics roles, including those in dynamic logistics companies, are often performed on-site due to the need to coordinate physical operations, inventory, and transportation. However, some administrative, planning, or customer service tasks within logistics can be done remotely, especially with digital tools and software. The feasibility depends on the specific position and company policies.

Job description

Company Overview:Blink Health is the fastest growing healthcare technology company that builds products to make prescriptions accessible and affordable to everybody. Our two primary products - BlinkRx and Quick Save - remove traditional roadblocks within the current prescription supply chain, resulting in better access to critical medications and improved health outcomes for patients.
BlinkRx is the world's first pharma-to-patient cloud that offers a digital concierge service for patients who are prescribed branded medications. Patients benefit from transparent low prices, free home delivery, and world-class support on this first-of-its-kind centralized platform. With BlinkRx, never again will a patient show up at the pharmacy only to discover that they can't afford their medication, their doctor needs to fill out a form for them, or the pharmacy doesn't have the medication in stock.
We are a highly collaborative team of builders and operators who invent new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. Join us!
The Role: As a Logistics Specialist, you will own the inbound and outbound dock operation, coordinating directly with carriers and suppliers to build and maintain a daily dock schedule that maximizes throughput across a single dock door. This is a critical operational role as shipment volume scales and requires a detail-oriented, proactive operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and communicative Logistics Specialist who takes ownership of dock flow, carrier relationships, and operational accuracy.
What You'll Do:
Dock Scheduling & Carrier Coordination
  • Own the daily dock schedule, coordinating appointment windows for all inbound receipts and outbound shipments to eliminate conflicts and minimize dwell time.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and suppliers, communicating scheduling requirements, arrival expectations, and any changes that affect dock availability.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipment status in real time, proactively identifying delays and adjusting the schedule to maintain uninterrupted flow.

Inbound & Outbound Operations
  • Receive, verify, and document all inbound deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips; escalate discrepancies to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate outbound staging and carrier pickup, ensuring shipments are ready and labeled prior to scheduled departure windows.
  • Maintain the dock area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards at all times.

Operational Excellence
  • Partner with internal teams (inventory specialist, workplace services and building management) to align dock scheduling with operational priorities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by reinforcing new procedures and surfacing adoption challenges early.
  • Assist in other areas of warehouse or logistics operations as needed.
What You Need:
  • Experience: 2+ years in a logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse coordination role; demonstrated experience scheduling carrier pickups and deliveries in a high-volume environment.
  • Educational Background: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered (minimum high school diploma or GED required).
  • Carrier Knowledge: Prior hands-on experience working with LTL, parcel, and/or freight carriers preferred.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage a dynamic dock schedule, balance competing priorities, and reprioritize quickly when conditions change.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communicator able to coordinate effectively with external carriers and internal teams via phone and email.
  • Data & Technology Fluency: Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting; familiarity with a WMS or TMS preferred.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong sense of urgency and ownership over dock throughput outcomes; ability to stay organized and accurate under pressure.
  • People Skills: Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others across departments.
  • Analytical Thinking: Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset; ability to recognize patterns and surface issues proactively.
Location/Hours:
Fully onsite role located in Chesterfield, MO- 400 S. Woods Mill Rd, Monday-Friday
Early morning and/or evening availability required to support dock operations across all shift windows.
Benefits
  • Health, Dental & Vision - Multiple plan options that begin from day 1
  • Well-being Support - Employee Assistance Program with counseling, wellness coaching, legal/financial advice, and more
  • Vacation - Accrue up to 80 hours (2 weeks) in year one
  • Paid Sick Time - 40 hours per year
  • Holidays - 9 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays per year
  • Parental Leave - 12 weeks paid (birthing) / 4 weeks paid (non-birthing), including adoption and foster placement
  • 401(k) - Traditional and Roth options
  • Life & Disability Insurance - Provided at no cost
  • Snack & Drink Stipend - Daily at all pharmacy locations

Why Join Us:It is rare to have a company that both deeply impacts its customers and is able to provide its services across a massive population. At Blink, we have a huge impact on people when they are most vulnerable: at the intersection of their healthcare and finances. We are also the fastest growing healthcare company in the country and are driving that impact across millions of new patients every year. Our business model not only helps people, but drives economics that allow us to build a generational company. We are a relentlessly learning, constantly curious, and aggressively collaborative cross-functional team dedicated to inventing new ways to improve the lives of our customers.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity of all kinds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
