This role is primarily remote, offering significant flexibility and work-life balance, while also engaging directly with school staff to address the mental health needs of students. Your primary responsibilities as an LCSW will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand the mental health needs of students and their families.
• Developing personalized treatment plans based on diagnostic assessments, prioritizing evidence-based interventions.
• Providing a range of therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to individual client needs.
• Collaborating with educational staff and other health professionals to coordinate care plans that support academic achievement and emotional well-being.
• Documenting clinical interactions accurately and promptly while adhering to HIPAA regulations and standards.
• Engaging in regular supervision, case consultations, and peer review meetings to foster best practices within the team.
• Educating students and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Staying informed of current mental health trends, research, and treatment methodologies to ensure the highest standard of care.

In this role, you will work with a diverse student population, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and other mental health concerns. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting students from various backgrounds, fostering resilience, and promoting mental wellness in an academic setting.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical environment, ideally with a focus on working with children and adolescents.
• Proficiency in solution-focused therapy techniques and modalities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

While not required, experience in a school setting or familiarity with educational systems is highly beneficial. Additional certifications in specific therapeutic practices, such as trauma-informed care or mindfulness-based interventions, will be considered a plus.
