****Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Other Conditions: Position is a temporary casual hire position and offers no benefits, hours not to exceed 19.75 hours per week. Continuous recruitment until programmatic needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Reports to the Assistant Media Relations Director of assigned sport.
  2. Operates the DVSport replay system for games/competitions.
  3. Knows and understands the rules of the designated sport.
  4. Responds to situations that involve a great deal of pressure and are time-sensitive.
  5. Attends games/competitions on work weekday, weekends, holidays and nights when needed as many events are scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

  1. Demonstrates a positive and professional working attitude and maintain a collaborative working relationship with the coaching staff, support staff, administrators in the UH Athletics Department and other individuals associated with the Athletics Department.

  1. Knows, recognizes, and complies with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawaii and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future. Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if you have reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees or students, have occurred or will occur.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Knowledge of sports and replay software that incumbent will be assigned to.
  3. Must be able to work weekday, weekends, holidays and nights when needed as many events are scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  4. Must be able to work in an environment that is fast paced and time-sensitive.
  5. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
