The Duro Dyne, Head of Sales leads the strategic growth, performance, and development of the entire Duro Dyne sales organization - a market leading HVAC/sheet metal supplies manufacturer.  This role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the sales team delivers exceptional value to contractors, OEM partners, and wholesale customers.  The ideal candidate brings deep HVAC industry knowledge, strong leadership capability, and a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth goals across product lines, regions, and customer segments.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to maintain and grow existing revenue streams while identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • Set annual sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations for regional managers and field sales teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to shape pricing strategy, product mix, and promotional initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth goals across product lines, regions, and customer segments.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to maintain and grow existing revenue streams while identifying new revenue opportunities.

Team Development & Performance Management
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales managers, building development managers, and inside/outside sales representatives.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customercentric selling.
  • Implement training programs focused on HVAC product knowledge, solution selling, and technical expertise.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent.

Customer & Market Engagement 

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key accounts, sheet metal fabricators, contractors, and OEM partners.
  • Support major bids, contract negotiations, and strategic customer initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and manufacturer meetings.
  • Ensure the sales team delivers consultative support on HVAC and Sheet Metal supplies, tools, and equipment.
Operational & CrossFunctional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to ensure alignment on inventory, promotions, and customer programs.
  • Provide market feedback to product management and supply chain teams to optimize assortment and availability.
  • Oversee CRM utilization, sales forecasting, and pipeline management to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred, but not required).
  • 8+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within HVAC distribution, wholesale, or related mechanical trades or industries.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC supplies, tools, and equipment, including contractor workflows and seasonal demand cycles.
  • Knowledge and experience in leveraging a pull-though sales model.
  • Demonstrated success leading national or large regional sales teams.
  • Proven ability to develop strategy, drive execution, and deliver measurable revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, and performance dashboards.
  • Requires 50% travel

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $160k - $220k annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for a Short Term Incentive (STI) bonus of 15% in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
