Job description

Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer to work within an agile team to plan, design and develop Business Intelligence dashboards and reports. You will analyze the needs of the business, strategize and design a plan to meet the specified needs, then execute the plan, using Business Intelligence tools to deliver the Business Intelligence solution. This is a highly collaborative position and you'll work with business, development and testing team members, often in multiple geographies.
Key Accountabilities / Duties:
• Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
• Gather and document functional and technical requirements, and translate requirements into reporting solutions, analytic tools, and dashboards that in turn delivers actionable data to end users
• Develop in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses of data
• Develop expertise in the business operations and how data supports those operations in order to provide the most effective business intelligence solutions possible
• Identify gaps in data collection, the data model, and meta data for future enhancements
• Create simple to complex data, reporting, and business intelligence solutions by utilizing existing reporting, analytics and business intelligence platforms
• Comply with standards, best practices, and policies defined for the team
• Provide support as required to ensure the availability and optimized performance of developed business intelligence applications and reports
• Write high quality code to retrieve, analyze and present the data
• Work with testing organization to write and execute comprehensive test plans that validate the accuracy of information and functionality to ensure delivery of high quality business intelligence applications.
Basic Qualifications
• Advanced direct work experience developing business focused automated reports using tools as well as building necessary SQL data objects used by reports.
• Advanced direct work experience with Data Warehouse and related technologies such Microsoft SSIS, SQL, ETL, and OLAP data structures.
• Advanced direct work experience any of the BI tools: Dundas BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Microsoft PowerBI, PowerPivot or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Advanced SQL development experience. Demonstrated experience creating, debugging, and modifying complex stored procedures and views, as well as querying and updating data using SQL.
• Experience in front end and back end dashboard development.
• Creating and using DAX to optimize calculations and measures effectively.
