Job description

CWM is seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Trailer Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Dump Trailer Driver is to safely operate a dump truck to deliver material to various job sites throughout the state. The driver must ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle, perform routine checks, and report any mechanical or safety issues to the supervisor. This role is essential in ensuring timely material delivery for construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate dump truck and trailer to deliver material to job sites.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on the truck and equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
  • Report any mechanical or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
  • Oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to the equipment as needed.
  • Transport and deliver various materials such as soil, aggregates, demolition debris, or construction materials to job sites.
  • Perform related duties, such as shovel work, setting string lines, or adding/removing screed extensions.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the paving industry, including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate sizes, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other relevant details.
  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of materials to designated job sites.
  • Maintain a valid CDL Class A or Class B license with a tanker endorsement and pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience operating a dump truck and trailer preferred.
  • Valid CDL Class A with a tanker endorsement.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
  • Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and minor repairs, such as oiling, greasing, and making normal operating adjustments.
  • Knowledge of the paving industry and understanding of materials, grades, and job specifications preferred.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as well as overtime when required.
