Job description

Job Summary

Duke Rentals is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic at our Council Bluffs, IA location to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of rental equipment. This role includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and ensuring equipment meets safety and manufacturer standards.

PAY: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour STARTING - Based on Experience
Bonus programs available!

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday โ€“ Friday
  • Overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and machinery
  • Ability to operate a variety of aerial lift equipment & related tools
  • Service hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and manufacturer standards
  • Maintain service records and documentation
  • Coordinate repairs with shop supervisor and parts department
  • Operate company service vehicle safely

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with clean MVR
  • 3 years of experience in equipment repair or mechanical service
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team

Physical Requirements

  • Working in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Exposure to shop chemicals, grease, oils, and equipment noise
  • Lifting up to 100lbs occasionally
  • Climbing, kneeling, bending, & standing for extended periods
