Basic/Required Qualifications:

Vehicle Maintenance Technician II
Two-year associate degree or certificate in auto, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanics from a vocational school
In addition to required education above, two (2) years minimum of related experience
In lieu of the required education, high school diploma AND three (3) years minimum of related experience
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Electric Utility Fleet Experience
Basic Hydraulic Experience
Heavy Duty Diesel Experience
Aerial Boom Experience
ASE Certifications
AWS Welding Certifications
Effective communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with peers, customers and management
Demonstrate ability to make sound decisions, exercising good judgement and setting priorities
Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience with computer equipment, laptops, keyboard, tablets, etc.
Working Conditions:
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to obtain "CDL Class A" driver's license within a designated (120 days) timeframe
Must be able to respond to emergency situations
Must be able to stand and walk on concrete surface for extended periods of time
Must be able to work in garage environment with associated noise, fumes and dust and tolerate heights in aerial devices
Must be able to lift and/or push at least 100lbs several times per shift
Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs a distance of at least 25 feet
Repeated bending and twisting are required
*Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility.
*This position contains a weight restriction of 275 pounds as an essential function of the job. The purpose of this restriction is to ensure that all weight rated equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner within maximum allowed weight loading.
