Job Title: Bartender
Department & Department Number: Food & Beverage
Directly Reports To: Food & Beverage Management
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Take and serve orders accurately and with a positive attitude.
  • Prepare drink orders for guests and servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by Bluejack Recipes & Standards.
  • Inputs orders at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all food, beverage, and miscellaneous items served.
  • Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest.
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis according to established Standards.
  • Ensure par levels in beverage products and bar supplies are appropriately maintained at all times in all areas of responsibility.
  • Adhere to food, health and safety standards.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean, professional, and in accordance with the F&B Grooming Standard.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
  • Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
  • Follow & adhere to opening, closing, and requisition procedures developed for the bartender position in Food & Beverage.
  • Responsible for maintaining the operation in accordance with all TABC / state and county liquor laws.
  • Assist in the supervision of beverage product inventory management and cost control.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Maintain open communication in regard to conflict resolution with co-workers.
  • Handle member problems and complaints as professionally as possible or refer to F&B leadership for support.
  • Assist with the setup, breakdown and service of all major club functions and events as needed.
  • Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Prior Bartending experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work well independently, attention to quality and detail.
  • Enjoy working with Members, guests, and children.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:
Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation. Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
