Job description

We are looking for a full-time local driver for our Austin location. 

  • Must have a Class B license
  • This is a company employee position
  • Driver will be driving a company vehicle
  • All local work

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely pick up and deliver freight on-time within local area.
  • Responsible for safely operating a company vehicle in the transportation of FAK over the road, while verifying loads for accuracy.
  • Ability to work with assigned routes.
  • Ability to adapt dispatch should there be a change in route.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch team to ensure freight is delivered safely and on-time, or of any unforeseen issues that may arise during transport.
  • Perform thorough and accurate pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and report any issues.
  • Safely and efficiently operate lift equipment, for loading and unloading duties.
  • Complete and verify all required backup paperwork (bills, HAZMAT, POD, manifests, etc.) are in order and dually delivered to the right personnel member, whether shipper, consignee, or Energy agent.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company, federal, state and local laws, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) HOS regulations.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Must be 23 years of age
  • Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • CSA: Score must be less than 28 to meet Energy safety records
