Responsibilities The TK-1st Grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher oversees students' English language and literacy development. Required knowledge, skills, and duties include: - Planning instruction based on the California standards for English Language Arts and English Language Development - Using adopted materials (Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum) and adapting them to meet students' needs - Monitoring progress using formative assessment, including analyzing qualitative and quantitative assessment data to guide instruction - Collaborating with French grade-level partner teachers, participating in professional development, and reflecting on teaching practices - Communicating with parents and families as needed Requirements California Single Subject English teaching credential, Multiple Subjects teaching credential, or equivalent
