Job description

As a DSP you will use your caregiving and people skills to support individuals living with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals. You can get paid to take someone to the park while making a difference in their life! The S

upported Living Program is for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities capable of living semi-independently. One to three people reside in townhouses or apartments. The DSP assists individuals in the development of basic adult living skills to achieve maximum independence. Each resident receives the degree of responsibility and supervision required to meet his or her individual needs.

Hourly rate starting at $17.00 per hour. Full-Time Schedule 40 hours/week; Sunday-Thursday 12:30PM-8:30PM at SLP program locations in Woodbridge, VA 22191, 22192 and 22193.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service);
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
  • Ability to attend and pass required trainings
  • A Valid driver's license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record and reliable transportation;
  • A High school diploma or GED;
  • Flexibility and positive attitude

Working Conditions

  • Work in residential group homes, day programs, and in the community
  • Transport individuals using agency provided van
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Full-Time Schedule 40 hours/week; Sunday-Thursday 12:30PM-8:30PM at SLP program locations in Woodbridge, VA 22191, 22192 and 22193.

Compensation details: 17-17 Hourly Wage
