Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform pressure welding on piping systems in accordance with ABSA codes, WPS, and project specifications
  • Execute SMAW (stick) and GTAW (tig) welding on carbon steel and alloy piping for industrial applications
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, welding procedures, and drawings to ensure accurate work
  • Complete fit-up, root pass, fill, and cap welding to meet quality and code requirements
  • Support rigging and positioning of pipe using appropriate equipment and safe practices
  • Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including hot work permits and lockout/tagout
  • Maintain welding rig, tools, and consumables to ensure safe and efficient operation on site
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor's high standards for safety and quality

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Welder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Initial Alberta BPressure Welder Certification is valid
  • Additional tickets for welding stainless stee, 304H are preferred by not required
  • Provide current DSP (Direct Service Provider) documentation
  • Previous industrial construction experience required
  • Confined space entry & monitor ticket
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean 3year abstract
  • Project online orientations must be completed

Work Conditions:

  • Start Date: Mid July 2026
  • Work schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off
  • Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
  • Weekly payment of Wages
