Description:

Paul Davis of Greater Baltimore is seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Drywall Installer to hang, tape, and finish drywall systems for residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to complete projects on time and according to specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings
  • Secure drywall to metal or wooden studs using screws, nails, or adhesives
  • Tape and finish seams, corners, and joints using joint compound and tape
  • Sand and smooth surfaces to prepare for painting or finishing
  • Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections
  • Install insulation as needed
  • Paint newly installed drywall
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean job site
  • Coordinate with project managers, painters, electricians, and other trades
  • Work with and manage a helper as part of a crew
  • Primary responsibilities will include working with drywall, molding, insulation, paint, and flooring. Candidate should be prepared to work in other areas as needed โ€“ carpentry, exteriors, mitigation, etc.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a drywall installer and finisher on both residential and commercial projects
  • Ability to work with drywall, plaster, lath, etc.
  • Ability to estimate material quantities and labor costs
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs)
  • Skilled in measuring, cutting, and precision finishing
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and construction best practices (OSHA, Lead and Asbestos certifications a plus)
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation
  • Some nights and weekends will be required
