Job description

The Sonnenalp Hotel is looking for a Full-Time Seasonal Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team.

Application Deadline: Hiring will occur on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted until May 15th, or until the position is filled.

Wage: $20.00 - $22.00 /hour

Typical Schedule: Flexible- AM Shift (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) or PM shift (2:30 pm -11:00 pm)

Primary Purpose of Position

To support the daily operations of the laundry department by ensuring all hotel linens, restaurant linens, employee uniforms, and guest laundry are cleaned, processed, and maintained to the highest standards. This role contributes to a consistent, high-quality guest experience by collaborating with the team, maintaining an organized workspace, and handling all laundry items with care, efficiency, and attention to detail.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, wash, dry, and press all hotel and restaurant linens, guest clothing, and employees uniforms, adhering to Sonnenalp standards
  • Assist Uniform attendants with washing, pressing, and issuance of all uniforms as needed
  • Knowledge of all chemicals used
  • Ensure the laundry room is clean and organized daily
  • Assist employees with obtaining uniforms and dry cleaning
  • Wash, dry, iron, and fold the collected linens using the preset equipment programming
  • Immediately report any equipment malfunction
  • Actively participate in the monthly linen inventory
  • Maintain a record and help with the inventory of cleaning products
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and the entire laundry room
  • Should respond to the requests of the guests, supervisors, and management in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ensure that the equipment, keys, and other supplies issued each day are not tampered with and are returned in good condition
  • Inform any missing article from the laundry room to the manager/supervisor
  • Maintain a dress code and should always be neat and tidy and in a presentable manner, and should be guest-friendly
  • Other tasks as assigned by managers or supervisors

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Basic English language skills preferred- i.e., ability to understand and respond to Guest needs and follow directions
