JOB SUMMARY

The Weekend Cleaner (Porter) is responsible for the cleaning, resetting, and general upkeep of all studio spaces throughout the weekend shift. This is a behind-the-scenes, operations-focused role — not guest-facing. You will work as part of a team to ensure every suite, sauna, shower, and common area meets SWTHZ's high standards between guest sessions. No single cleaner works the full shift alone; overlapping coverage and backup staffing are always provided.

LOCATION: 173 S Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sauna

  • Clean benches using Mrs. Meyer's and a microfiber cloth
  • Clean sauna floor and glass (inside and outside)
  • Set chromotherapy light to SWTHZ blue
  • Confirm temperature is set to 140°F and Bluetooth is connected

Showers

  • Spray Vital Oxide on walls and floors
  • Wipe clean, leaving no water, hair, or debris behind

Cold Plunge

  • Skim surface to remove debris
  • Vacuum bottom of the plunge tub
  • Wipe tub dry

Suites (each suite)

  • Empty trash and replace liner as needed
  • Restock amenities
  • Mop floor
  • Set TV to relaxing music
  • Turn off main suite light after reset
  • Ability to perform full plunge reset including draining, cleaning, and refilling

Laundry

  • Collect used towels
  • Wash, dry, fold, and restock in designated areas

Restrooms

  • Wipe sinks, counters, and fixtures
  • Refill soap and paper goods
  • Empty trash and spot mop floors

Guest Interaction

  • This role is not guest-facing. If approached by a guest, politely direct them to the front desk or studio team.
  • Cleaners do not provide services, assist with check-ins, or offer guest support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable means of transportation to the studio location
  • Ability to work both Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Prior cleaning, hospitality, or facilities experience a plus — not required
  • Strong verbal and written English communication a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical activities include bending, reaching, squatting, mopping, prolonged standing, and walking
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents (Vital Oxide, Mrs. Meyer's, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable working in sauna environments with elevated heat and humidity
