The DNA Group is seeking a Web Developer with strong Drupal expertise to support the development, maintenance, and modernization of District government websites, including DC.gov and related agency digital properties.

Overview Requirements:

• Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based websites supporting DC.gov and District agency digital platforms.

• Build and customize Drupal modules, themes, content types, taxonomies, and views based on agency requirements.

• Perform Drupal core and contributed module updates, security patches, and version migrations, including Drupal 7 to Drupal 10/11 modernization work.

• Integrate Drupal sites with enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party services.

• Ensure deliverables meet Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and District web standards.

• Apply web security best practices aligned with OCTO and federal cybersecurity guidelines.

• Collaborate with project managers, UX designers, content strategists, and agency stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 16+ years of specialized programming and técnica development experience for web and Internet-based systems.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Drupal development experience, including Drupal 7 and Drupal 9/10/11 environments.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Twig.
• Experience with Composer, Drush, Git, and MySQL/MariaDB.
• Working knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

Required Experience:

• Specialized Web / Internet Development: 16+ years (Required)

• Computer Science / IT Degree or Equivalent Experience: degree requirement (Desired)

• Drupal Development (Drupal 7, 9, 10, or 11): 3+ years (Required)

• PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript & Twig: demonstrated proficiency (Required)

• Composer, Drush, Git & MySQL / MariaDB: hands-on experience (Required)

• Section 508 & WCAG 2.1 AA Accessibility: working knowledge (Required)

• Acquia Certified Developer / Site Builder: credential (Highly Desired)

• Headless / Decoupled Drupal (JSON:API, GraphQL): experience (Highly Desired)

• Acquia Cloud, Pantheon, or AWS Hosting: familiarity (Highly Desired)

• Government Web Platform Support (District, State, or Federal): prior experience (Highly Desired)
