Job description

Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect – Drupal / Large-Scale Web Platforms 
Location: Remote (USA)
Clearance: (If applicable) Public Trust or ability to obtain 
 
About the Role: 
 
We’re urgently seeking a hands-on AWS Architect experienced in scalable web platform design, particularly Drupal-based or similar CMS-driven environments. This role requires deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps best practices, and high-availability web architectures. 
 
You’ll collaborate with development and DevOps teams to architect, optimize, and scale Drupal (or comparable large web systems) hosted on AWS for performance, cost, and reliability. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
    • Architect, design, and implement high-traffic Drupal or CMS-based web applications on AWS. 
    • Define and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS infrastructures (EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, CloudFront, ECS/EKS, etc.). 
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure CI/CD automation, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform. 
    • Optimize performance for high-availability websites, including caching, CDN, and auto-scaling. 
    • Provide guidance on migration from on-prem or legacy environments to AWS. 
    • Troubleshoot and improve architecture for resilience, redundancy, and compliance. 
    • Lead architecture reviews, documentation, and AWS best-practice adoption across teams. 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate. 
    • Experience in federal or enterprise-scale environments. 
    • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance (FedRAMP, HIPAA, etc.) a plus.
