The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Alabama is seeking an experienced, motivated, and prosecution-minded attorney to join our Criminal Division. This United States Attorney's Office serves as the chief federal law enforcement office in the Middle District of Alabama and is accountable to the citizens of the Middle District for pursuing justice, ensuring public safety, enforcing the law, protecting the interests of the United States, and exercising stewardship of the government's resources.
The Middle District of Alabama consists of 23 counties in central and southeastern Alabama. The United States Attorney, Kevin P. Davidson is currently seeking to hire an outstanding candidate for an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) position in the Criminal Division. The primary areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the prosecution of complex drug trafficking crimes, transnational organized crime, violent crime, firearms offenses, and immigration offenses. Salary Information: Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $76,748 to $197,100 which includes the 17.06% locality pay.
