Drug testers are professionals responsible for collecting and analyzing biological samples, such as urine, blood, or hair, to detect the presence of drugs or banned substances. They often work in environments like sports organizations, workplaces, law enforcement, or medical facilities. Their role is crucial in ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies regarding drug use, maintaining safety, and promoting fair competition. Drug testers must follow strict protocols to ensure accurate and confidential results.

What are some common challenges faced by drug testers in ensuring accurate and unbiased results?

Drug testers often encounter challenges such as maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols, preventing sample contamination, and managing privacy concerns during the collection process. Adhering to standardized procedures is crucial, as any deviation can impact the validity of the test results. Additionally, drug testers must stay updated on new substances and testing technologies to detect potential attempts at tampering or evasion. Collaboration with laboratory analysts and clear communication with clients are also important to ensure reliable and fair outcomes.

To thrive as a Drug Tester, you need a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, specimen collection protocols, and relevant legal or regulatory guidelines, often supported by a background in medical technology or laboratory science. Job description

We are seeking a medical assistant with at least 2 years of experience to join our chiropractic clinic. We focus on personal injury cases and also have an on-site drug testing facility. This person will work both the front desk and the back office, helping the doctor with all patient care and medical testing.  DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE MEDICAL ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE, ARE NOT BILINGUAL, AND DO NOT HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE.

Previous experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right person. Being bilingual in Spanish is required. A Bachelor's Degree is required, and at least 2 years of experience in the medical field.

Front desk duties include checking patients in and out, verifying personal injury insurance, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, answering phones in both English and Spanish, and keeping patient records organized.

Back-office duties include taking vital signs, assisting the doctor with therapies such as electrical stimulation, setting up treatment rooms, cleaning instruments, and performing basic tests such as range of motion, vision, and hearing.

For drug testing, you will collect urine samples, follow chain-of-custody rules, complete forms correctly, and prepare specimens for lab pickup.

We are heavily regulated by the Department of Transportation, so top organizational skills are a must. You need to be comfortable working with patients who have been in car accidents or other injuries. You also need to be careful with legal paperwork and patient privacy.
