Job description

Position Summary:   The Life Safety Specialist ensures compliance with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code (and applicable referenced standards), Joint Commission, CMS, NYS and local regulations to protect patients, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include conducting fire safety inspections, managing fire alarm/sprinkler systems, overseeing Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), conducting drills, and maintaining regulatory survey readiness.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Researches and maintains knowledge base current with life safety standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to Highland Hospital.
  2. Attend departmental staff meetings, in-services, and training programs.
  3. Other duties as required.

Salary Range:
$25.00 - $30.00 an hour
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
