Job description

Our Duncansville inpatient program provides a supportive, therapeutic environment where clients can build strength, develop skills, and reclaim overall health and wellbeing. We are currently seeking a fulltime Inpatient Counselor to join our dedicated clinical team.

  • Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm

  • Sunday-Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm

The Counselor plays a key role in delivering individual therapygroup therapyprocess groups, and family therapy within our outpatient program. This position also supports daily clinical operations, intake processes, and documentation requirements to ensure the highest level of client care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily clinical operations, including assessments, utilization review, and therapeutic services.
  • Provide individual counselinggroup therapy, and family therapy to clients engaged in inpatient treatment.
  • Complete insurance and utilization reviews as needed.
  • Attend shiftchange meetings, supervision, and required company meetings.
  • Maintain a caseload and ensure all client documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Assist the Program Director with program coverage and service needs.
  • Perform clerical duties related to maintaining compliant and organized client files.
  • Actively listen to clients and support them in all aspects of their treatment.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention when appropriate.
  • Complete all required trainings and maintain mandatory continuing education hours.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

  • Master's degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant clinical experienc
  • OR
  • Active CADC or CAADC or Equivalent Licensure

Preferred Skills & Qualities
  • Experience with clinical skills in mental health, substance use, or cooccurring disorder treatment
  • Experience with professional, ethical approaches to client care and teamwork
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, state licensing regulations, and CARF standards
  • Ability to manage crises calmly and appropriately
  • Ability to problemsolving and use criticalthinking abilities
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and reliable in a fastpaced clinical environment
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
