Senior Marketing Associate

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Associate. Candidate must be a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, who can support the firm's real estate business development efforts with marketing, graphics, research, and communications skills. Specifically, the role supports the Capital Markets team developing presentations, collateral, and sales tools; coordinates client engagement activities, events, PR/media; and supports as-needed regional and departmental marketing initiatives.

You are detail-oriented, and direct, enjoy being collaborative and working on a team. You are curious about the industry, and you like the challenge of working on multiple properties concurrently, sometimes under time constraints, and don't need someone standing over your shoulder to direct you. You know how to schedule your time, when to ask questions, how to prioritize, and understand deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Produce marketing materials including but not limited to BOVs, OMs, brochures, flyers, direct mail, client updates, proposals, and presentations.
  • Create web-based marketing tools and communications, manage and update contact lists for multiple eblasts per week.
  • Act as a steward of the firm's brand and visual brand standards.
  • Assist in the creation and management of property marketing campaigns including maintaining all property listing platforms. Experience with Real Capital Markets is a plus.
  • Create signage for properties and oversee their installation to maximize visibility to passing viewers
  • Create, modify, and format PowerPoint presentations, word documents, and excel charts by incorporating graphic elements such as pictures, logos, infographics, excel charts, floor plans, etc.
  • Create and coordinate the creation of custom maps, site plans and building stacking plans for use in proposals and presentations. Mark up sites with local roads and highways, points of interest, retailer logos etc.
  • Create and update market surveys using CoStar, LoopNet, and other listing services.
  • Direct drone operators to shoot still photographs and video and oversee video creation.
  • Basic color and contrast editing in Photoshop.
  • Social media presence with regular updates on LinkedIn.
  • Manage and maintain the market/region's graphic files, including the firms' stock and custom created photos and illustrations.
  • Collaborate with research on market reports and newsletters; statistical graphs, charts, and tables; white papers and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Collaborate with the PR/communications team on developing media-worthy content, e.g., new hires, closed deals, research reports, market-specific and regional news, trends, and stories.
  • Remain abreast of Avison Young's new technology and innovation initiatives within the marketing organization and identify areas of use in the local market; commitment to evolve skills with changing needs.
  • Participate in the firm's strategic marketing and communications best practices meetings, conference calls, and strategy sessions.
Qualifications
  • Expertise with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Working experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (editing in Photoshop, charts, and logos in Illustrator). Experience in Adobe Spark is a plus.
  • Experience with email marketing and CRMs (HubSpot experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of print and web design and production.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to proofread for spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
  • Understanding of and commitment to client service.
  • Able to prioritize tasks to meet established and arising deadlines.
  • College degree in Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing/Communications or other related fields, or 5 years of relevant marketing experience in a corporate environment.
