Job description

We’re hiring Aerial Data Collection Technicians, no prior experience required.

You will operate data collection equipment for aircraft mapping and surveying projects. Great for candidates who are:

  • Detail-oriented
  • Technically curious
  • Comfortable with travel and structured work

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate onboard data collection equipment to capture mapping, imaging, or survey data (training provided)
  • Follow detailed, step-by-step procedures to ensure data is collected accurately and consistently
  • Monitor equipment and software systems in real time, identifying and communicating any issues or irregularities
  • Perform pre-flight setup and system checks to confirm all equipment is functioning properly before takeoff
  • Conduct post-flight tasks including powering down systems, securing equipment, and preparing data for transfer
  • Review and organize collected data files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper labeling for internal teams and clients
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of flight activities, data collection logs, and any issues encountered
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance of onboard equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines while working in and around aircraft
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes, equipment, and workflow efficiency

Not a pilot role. No aviation experience needed.
