Class C Driver  /Warehouse 

Pay Rate starting at $25.00 - DOE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Class C Driver

  • Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
  • Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
  • Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
  • Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
  • Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives  and report any discrepancies to company
  • Increase customer satisfaction by collecting information, feedback on service and resolving complaints per company policy;  communicate information back to company
  • Inform customers of new products and services that can increase customer satisfaction and sales
  • Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes
  • Update job knowledge
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required
  • Maintain a safe driving record free of violations
  • Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS - Driver

  • Operates forklifts in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
  • Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 75lbs)
  • Pass a drug screen and background check
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Warehouse (when not driving)

  • Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming items/products. Ensures proper placement of products in the warehouse according to established guidelines and/or instructions from Supervisor. 
  • Pull inventory for stock, inspect and pack products for delivery.  Verify inventories, maintain organization of products in the rack base and perform other miscellaneous stocking duties, as requested.  Checks order for accurate and proper documentation.
  • Assist in completing basic paperwork relative to shipping and receiving tasks.  This includes preparing necessary documentation regarding weight and freight cost on the order and properly labeling and documenting any hazardous material packages. 
  • Perform janitorial duties as assigned to keep work area clean.
  • Operate motorized cart/forklift and perform other related job duties, as required or requested by the Company.

Qualifications:   Warehouse

  • Requires the ability to read and write in English and to understand numerical and alphabetical sequences.
  • Requires the ability to complete forms and order parts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders and spend significant periods of time each day in physical labor.
  • Must be certified as a forklift operator within 60 calendar days of start date.
  • Requires good skills in the use of tools required to perform assigned job responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: For Warehouse

  • Prefer a minimum six months-related warehouse experience.
  • Prefer experience in operating a stock picker and/or forklift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Distribution industry preferred

Physical Demands:

This work requires the following physical activities:  climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs. of material, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between locations.  Use of both hands is required. This is a safety sensitive position
