Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Instructor / OSHA Trainer to deliver high-quality safety training programs. This role is responsible for classroom instruction, hands-on training, and workforce safety education both onsite and at our Austin training facility.


The ideal candidate is a bilingual (English/Spanish) certified safety professional or OSHA-authorized trainer with strong presentation skills and a passion for safety compliance and workforce development.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver OSHA safety training, EHS courses, CPR/First Aid, and compliance programs
  • Facilitate instructor-led training (ILT), hands-on skills sessions, and safety demonstrations
  • Conduct training for construction, manufacturing, and general industry clients
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, and course content
  • Administer exams and evaluate trainee performance
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations
  • Support onsite training at client locations throughout the Austin area
  • Build strong relationships with clients and trainees
  • Maintain classroom equipment, training tools, and safety materials
  • Stay current on EHS regulations, OSHA updates, and training best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (preferred) OR Minimum 3+ years of experience in EHS training, safety instruction, or OSHA compliance

Certifications

  • OSHA 500 (Construction) and/or OSHA 501 (General Industry) - Required or ability to obtain
  • CPR/First Aid Instructor certification (preferred)

Skills

  • Strong public speaking and training facilitation skills
  • Experience with adult learning, workforce training, or safety instruction
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Ability to explain technical safety concepts clearly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Work Environment & Requirements
  • Ability to work in both classroom and field environments
  • Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
  • Ability to travel locally for onsite safety training
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and instruct for extended periods
  • Ability to perform hands-on CPR demonstrations (including floor-level activity)
  • Ability to lift and move training equipment (up to 25 lbs)
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor training environments
